I joined Fusion after graduating with a BSc in bioinformatics from the University of Waterloo, a program in which I saw how technology could affect the world in more ways than just offering a new app or game. Having completed co-op placements in both research and industry, I have learned that the key to enjoying your job is to do work that matters. At Fusion, we have accountability for and ownership of the work that we do, which means that we all care about our projects and seek to produce high-quality work. As a research programmer, I support consultants and their data collection and infrastructure needs. Everyone works together as a team, and we all have the ability and responsibility to continually improve our deliverables and provide value to our clients. This focus on both strong teamwork and individual responsibility is what makes Fusion stand out.
